Description of technology

ARUBA CLEARPASS SYSTEM - secures access to the network in both local and distributed environment and enables management from a single, central console. Efficient authentication system ensures support for thousands of users as well as visibility and identification of all devices connected to the network. The system integrates every critical aspect of the BYOD trend (policy management, self-service device registration, guest access to the network and a comprehensive control of device condition) within a single platform that can be deployed in any network infrastructure. Such a comprehensive solution combined with the possibility of integration with external systems (including IPS and MDM) provides automation of information flow and increases the level of network security.

Network routers

NETWORK ROUTERS - Hawlett Packard Enterprise has MSR routers dedicated to both small and larger departments. The solution integrates routing, switching and protection functions. It also provides a range of communication options through a built-in GSM modem or wireless module. The second series of HSR routers has been created for WAN campus networks that require high performance and support for MPLS, BGP and MBGP as well as large routing tables to connect many Internet service providers. The manufacturer follows the latest trends and created the Aruba SD-Branch solution that uses software defined WAN (SD-WAN). Aruba Gateway devices together with the Aruba Central system for central management allow to automatically determine the most efficient ways of forwarding data in corporate network between departments and data centers.

Network switches

NETWORK SWITCHES - The manufacturer has divided the portfolio of switches into two segments. Devices under the Aruba brand are dedicated to the so-called campus, which contains access, aggregation, and core switches. There are multiple models available depending on routing support, number of ports, PoE support, as well as models with SmartRate interfaces (with speeds of 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 Gbps on a RJ45 connection) and fiber-optic SFP+. Second segment under the Hawlett Packard Enterprise brand is intended for data centers. Switches working with Comware software ensure high reliability, performance, virtualization and clustering.

UEBA (USER AND ENTITY BEHAVIOUR ANALYTICS) - Introspect is a solution for large companies. It allows you to monitor network traffic while in tap mode and collecting logs directly or through integration with SIEM. It uses machine learning algorithms to build a behavior profile of individual users and their groups. It can also detect anomalies that may indicate a security breach: account acquisition or malware activity. It is based on reliable and efficient distributed components such as Hadoop and Elasticsearch. It is possible to automate incident response processes through integration with ClearPass.

ARUBA SOLUTION - consists of versatile and high-performance access points that can be centrally managed from controllers or used as controller-less Aruba Instant solution. In controller-less mode of Aruba Instant, the automatically selected access point distributes configurations to other devices in the same network segment. Just turn on the power for one access point, configure it via predefined wireless network and connect other devices, it takes only 5 minutes. When devices are managed by controllers, traffic from access points is centralized to simplify configuration, improve data encryption, ensure accurate enforcement of security policies, and provide other important network services. Aruba is equipped with several unique features: • The patented CLIENTMATCH technology guarantees that mobile devices get successfully matched to the best access point and radio within a wireless network. • ARM technology ensures that the operation of access points is not disturbed, resulting in a more reliable and efficient wireless network. • Integrated firewall that controls applications and websites. • Integrated protection of wireless networks identifies and minimizes the threat of wireless intrusions using foreign access points. • Integrated spectrum analyzer identifies sources of interference and eliminates the need for separate spectrum monitors with multiple management servers, new access points and dedicated sensors.
